After switching your clocks to island time and setting off on the adventure of a lifetime, you'll find yourself sailing across the Sir Francis Drake Channel towards Norman Island. The Bight offers great snorkelling, a hike or two and a wonderful setting for your first night in paradise. Post your morning coffee on the bow, head over to The Indians, a one-of-a-kind snorkelers paradise! With rocky Regarded as one of the best shallow dives and snorkels in the BVIs, these four rocky pinnacles are one-of-a-kind and descend roughly fifty feet forming abundant coral gardens, a 15-foot tunnel and an underwater cavern. Breathtaking both above and below the surface!
Once your eyes have taken in all the magic they can underwater, you'll set sail for Cooper Island and spend the rest of your day experiencing all the laid-back luxury this eco-resort has to offer. Pick up a mooring ball and head ashore for some dining, shopping, beach-lounging and rum-sipping at the Cooper Island Resort. For those interested in some more snorkelling, Cistern Point has some great sealife!
Head for Trellis Bay, Marina Cay and Scrub Island and take your pick of the endless activities available to you, simply hop on the free ferry that goes between the three. Trellis Bay on Tortola has an artsy-vibe and countless restaurants to hop between, Marina Cay has a lovely restaurant and beach and offers watersports, and Scrub Island is a peaceful island with a private resort, however their North Beach, boutiques and restaurants are open to the public. If you find yourself lucky enough to be in the area over a full moon, the infamous full moon party at Trellis Bay is a must-do!
The unrivaled star of the Virgin Gorda - The Baths is a fairytale destination for any yacht charter crowd. Wallow in the warm rock water pools, soak up the sun and explore this natural obstacle course. The snorkelling here is great too, so be sure to explore those turquoise waters.
From The Baths, you'll head to The North Sound, a place the staff at Horizon Yacht Charters know better than most. The North Sound boasts countless great dinner options. Saba Rock Resort and Restaurant is bigger and better than ever, offering great lunch and dinner options on the water - truly one-of-a-kind! The Bitter End Yacht Club has more of an expansive resort feel and offers a place to re-provision, go shopping, learn all types of watersports, relax on the beach and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner. Their new restaurant boasts ‘farm and sea to table’ ingredients. They also have a new open kitchen pizza and wine concept in the Village.
Wake up in one of the BVI's most sought-after locations and know that there are endless places to explore and things to do. Visit Saba Rock and The Bitterend Yacht Club if you missed out on them yesterday. Pick up a new watersport or head over to Eustatia Sound for a snorkel. Alternatively, spend the afternoon on Virgin Gorda by catching a taxi from Gun Creek or Leverick Bay to Hog Heaven, which serves the most amazing pulled pork creations (and lots of other tasty dishes) and the view of North Sound will take your breath away!
Set sail for an island unlike the rest, Anegada is a beautiful coral-reef island and has a totally different, laid-back vibe. Follow the channel markers into the Mooring field and pick up a ball. There is plenty to do ashore, including renting a Moke and heading to the North Shore where a seemingly never-ending beach awaits.
Gorgeous Guana Island may be small but it's an epic ecological reserve brimming with endemic wildlife, gauzy blue waters, and near perfect beaches. Monkey Point in particular has great snorkelling and offers a gorgeous spot for an afternoon and sunset onboard.
From Guana Island, head to Cane Garden Bay, a horeseshoe-shaped bay brimming with energy. Cane is the perfect beach to spend the afternoon lounging on its white sand beach or in the shallows. Spend your evening hopping between the countless beach bars and restaurants along the shore, before a stroll under the stars.
Set your sights on a lone strip of white sand amongst the turquoise and you'll arrive at Sandy Spit just in time for brunch! This little islet is one-of-a-kind and truly gives you that Pirates of the Caribbean feel!
From Sandy Spit you'll head to Diamond Cay and then ashore to Foxy's Taboo. Follow the arrows, take your pic at the Jost Van Dyke sign and then come across the gorgeous Bubbly Pool - natural jacuzzi! Have a lazy sail over to Great Harbour where you'll spend the night, be sure to go ashore for dinner at the other Foxy's!
Stop off in the iconic White Bay before your sail over to Peter Island, your final stop on your BVI sailing adventure! Once moored alongside this peaceful island, either have dinner onboard or head ashore to The Peter Island Resort for a last-night-treat!
After your last morning on the water and one more swim, head back to Nanny Cay and start compiling your wishlist of places you want to see next time. Your flights will be reconfirmed, your taxi already booked and soon you’ll be on your way home, already planning your return!
